Young Bogi wins Hibiscus Princess crown

Miss Stella Marist Primary, Regina Bogi broke into tears as she was crowned the 2007 Miss Hibiscus Princess at Albert Park in Suva last night.

The runner-up was Miss Veiuto Primary, Mereani Naupoto and in third place was Miss Mansukh Jewellers, Maria Ratucove.

It was a night none of the three girls will ever forget.

The Hibiscus Princess category was a first for the Hibiscus Festival.

Also held last night was the public judging for the Hibiscus Queens who once again had to face the public and answer questions.

That was their last chance to impress the masses and the judges.

Tonight it's the Hibiscus Ladies turn to face the judges and the public before tomorrow's crowning.

A deserving teen will also be crowned the 2007 Hibiscus Teen tonight. Like the Hibiscus Princess, she too will be the first in the category.

Tomorrow is the last day of the festival and ends with a float procession at midday followed by the crowing of the Hibiscus Lady and Hibiscus Queen.
