State seeks to strike out Qarase challenge

State lawyers will seek to strike out former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase's case against the overthrow of his government by the military in court tomorrow.
Qarase and senior members of his multi-party Government who are plaintiffs in the case have been served with a summon for a meeting with State lawyers in chambers.
Qarase's lawyer Tevita Fa said that he will challenge the legality of the Immunity Decree granting Presidential pardon to the military for its overthrow of the Qarase government on December 5, 2006.
