Contestants to meet public

The Vodafone Hibiscus 2007 carnival begins its programme proper today with the final of the “Kaila” Star Quest kicking off at 7 tonight.

And members of the public will get a chance to meet the contestants of Fiji’s Hibiscus Carnival at the Mid-City Plaza in Suva in the next hour.

Entertainment at Albert Park and Sukuna Park will be provided by the new Fijian band, Domo Ni Cakau.

Already the main ground at Albert Park is buzzing mostly with school children from all around the country as it is now on to the second week of holidays.

In fact children have been enjoying since Wednesday when the ferris wheels and foodstalls were first put up.

Shops in the capital too have stuck to tradition where there are huge reductions on the price of their items.

Tomorrow, there will be a live band entertainment featuring Sekove Raikoro and Vodredrokadroka ni Loma ni Buca before a youth march, beginning from the Flea Market to Albert Park.
