Ex-Ba Holdings CEO Bose discharged
Friday September 07, 2007

The former chief executive of Ba Holdings Limited, Isimeli Bose, has been discharged of the charges relating to the mob attack on Rogorogoivuda House in Lautoka last year.

Bose was charged with unlawful assembly, forcible entry and two counts of assault after 50 men armed with bottles, pinch bars and iron rods stormed the Ba Provincial Council's property last August.

He had pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Lautoka Magistrate Mohammed Shafiullah Khan dismissed Bose's case yesterday due to the inability of the Director of Public Prosecutions Office to proceed with the hearing.

State prosecutors had tried to seek an adjournment as DPP lawyer Navinesh Nand was overseas for study and expected to return in two weeks.
